L.ast Monday the Gosford got such a load of papa rock l bat the net was broken beyond reFUDGE CAKE. Cream together one cupful of sugar and two-thirds of a cupful of butter ; add on e cupful of milk. Stir in lightly two and one-half cupfuls of flour, into which one heaping spoonful of baking powder has been sifted. Then stir in one-fourth cupful of melted chocolate. Add one-half of walnuts, broken up coars-ely, and astly, three eggs .beaten separately. For the-fudp-e frosting use one and one-half teaspoon fuls of.butter and one-half cupfuls of unsweetened cocoa, one and onetourth cupfuls of confectioners' sugar, a Few grains of salt, and one-fourth cupful of milk. Heat to boiling point and soil ten minutes. Remove from fire, ind beat until creamy. Add one-half teaspoonsful of vanilla, and then pour >ver cake to'a depth of one-quarter inch. With the Fudge Cake serve ElephantBrand Tea. The flavour of this tea is nost agreeable ; jt possesses body and strength ,and is remarkably rich in the elements of good tea. Elephant Brand Tea at 2s 2d per lb. is sold by most ?torekeepers in this locality.*
