News from the Islands states that the Court of Inquiry at Tonga dismissed the charge against A. D. Cameron, President of the Toga Maa Kautahe Co-operative Asoeiation. of issuing a "faked" balance-sheet, and embezzling funds. The Association has 3000 Tongan members, and was formed for the disposal of copra. The Court expressed the opinion that the.alleged irregularity did not affee/ the total of the balance-sheet, and that the evidence of the principal oioseeutor showed prejudice and animosity against the accused. The C'rurtalso spoke strongly aaginst the manner i n "which the charges of embezzlement had been brought.
