An influential deputation urged upon (Mr Fisher, Federel Premier, the national obligation towards the aboriginal .population, and asked for the formulation of a scheme of proper and humane treatment of them, particularly in view of the Commonwealth talcing over the Northern Territory. Mr. Fisher promised that suitable land would be made available as sanctuaries for the blacks. They would be protected from exploitation by his own or any other race, anf\ everything would be done to make their existence happy.
