NELSON RUGBY UNION.

A meeting of the Rugby Union Managements Bommittee was held last evening, Mrj:jShrimpton being in the chair, and there- were present Messrs Logan, Hurley, 3Jrussing, Johnston, Topliss, and the secretary.

The BEwaka Club wrote agreeing -to the Union's suggestion in reference to the AlbiQjt v. Riwaka, junior final, and it was resolved that the Albion Club be written 51? regarding same. The Kia Ora Club intimated that they ag?4fed to the date, August 27th, for the senior, cup match with the Nelson Club. *;

A lettefc was received .from the New Zealand^Sßugby Union notifying that the application of Messrs Pike and Manssen for*se&istatement had been granted, as from the end of the present? season. The College Club applied 'for and obtained permission to play the ChristchurehJ Sigh School and the Auckland College'on the 25th and 26th insts. It wa« resolved that the Nelson representatives play in the Rival Club colours against jMurefiison.

A vote of : thanks to the chair closed the meeting". Mr Cannington, -the selector of the junior representative team, has picked the following to play against Marlborough on the' -27 th inst. :—Full back, Hargreaves; (Rival); three quarters, Chapman (Old Boys), Fowler (Riwaka). The following teams will play at the Victory Square to-morrow, play commencing at 2.30 p.m.—Possibles : Mills ,' (2), Karsten (2), Dixon, Kirton, Pike, Hannigan, Kitching, Ricketts, Kenning, and A. N. Other. Probales: Naylor, Cullinane, James, Wilson, Clark, Fred Manssen, Kincaid, T. Stewart, Bianchi, Hayton, Clark, A. Aydon, and Day. The League has a fine lot of backs to •select a rep team from, viz., Karsten, G. Kirton, L. and C. Dixon, L. Naylor, Cullinane, James, Wilson, A. Oakley, and A. Clark. In addition to this applications have been received from other parts of the province for consideration in rep. matches.
