Bowling, lvowever, remains incarcerated until! the end o fthis year. There is no likelihood (says the "Sydney Morning Herald") yf any further remissions being granted. In a recent speech the Minister of Justice (MiGarland) said that Peter Bowling was a very lucky man in respect to the penalties imposed upon him. "Bowling," said the Minister. "wa s sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment by tlve Industrial Court. He was sentenced to eighteen months in addition by Mr .Justice Bring. The sentence of the Industrial Court has been remitted, and he will eomo out in January after only serving part of the eighteen mouth s imposed in the other count —in which he was found guilty by a jury.
