RIFLE SHOOTING.
NELSON RIFLES COMPETITION. On Wednesday last the Nelson Riiles held a competition for Lieut. Johnson'? trophy, Private W. Brown, with 47, securin,r the leg-in. The conditions wen 10 shots at 200 yards. The competition on Saturday was I <n the Shield aggregate and iri/.e money for each class. Corporal put on the. excellent score of :16 irt ft a. possible 100. For the aggregate there wore-10 shots at 200 and &C 0 yards, lb scores were:— 200 500 tl.
