THE COAL RING NEWCASTLE.
REFUSAL TO LOAD A VESSEL. Pbess Association. — Copybioht, (Received 9.40 a.m.) NEWCASTLE, Saturday. The coal vend is reported to have refused to load the barque Laura for New Zealand, and the vessel is detained for a fortnight. The objection is alleged to be that the Laura is not a vessel in the coal trade, and not on the list of vessels the vend is authorised to supply. Hence the vend cannot be furnished with cargo without permission of "the Union Company.
