LIABILITY OF A CORPORATION.
(United Press AssoCfAT.GN.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. In the Supreme Court yesterday in the case of T. J. Yourelle y. the Wellington City CouncU, the jury gave judg- > ment for the plaintiff for £101 13s lOd. The plaintiff, an architect, claimed £64 13s 4d special damages and £250 genepi damages for injuries sustained 'in falling in to a, hole on the Parade at Island Bay in January last. He broko his arm and received other injuries, 'rhe claim involved a charge against the City Council of negligence in not havine the place properly protected and lighted. The defence was a denial of negligence in not having the place properly protected and lit. Certain law points Have yet to be argued.
