There were only two serious cases on the present calendar — charges of infanticide and concealment of birth against , an unmarried woman, and a crimina assault upon a young child against a colored man. True bills were found in all cases. The grand jury mad© a presentment of the inadequacy of the Court accommodation, also expressing the hope that the Court would treat with severity offences against women and children His Honor said that the Grand Jury could rest assured that the Court would do that, and it had been doing so, and as a result the numßer of cases' of this class of crime had diminished.
