(Lord '/fw-eedmouth -was' born in 1549, and <was a barrister of 'the Inner Temple. He entered the House of Commons in 1880, representing Berwick until 1894. He was Comptroller of the Household in 1886; Parliament tary Secretary to the Treasury, 'and chief Liberal whip from 1892 to 1894; Lord Privy Seal and Chancellor bf-thte Duchy of Lancaster in 1894 and 189 p.
