COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTION.
THE WANGAMOA RIDING. A CLOSE CONTEST. The election of member of. the Waimea County Council to represent .the Wangamoa Hiding took place yesterday. The candidates were Messrs W. H. Alborough and J. Corder ; and the former was returned by a narrow majority of two votes. Details of the voting arc as follows:— , AlboTOugh. Corder. Hillside 40 25 Wangamoa 13 5 Nelson ~ 19 42 The result of the election held in November last was: William Gill 61, W. H. Alborough 59, C. J. Ruffell 11.
