A WEST COAST NUGGET.
(United Press Association.) HOKITIKA, Saturday. A nugget of gold weighing 1140z3 i aud valued at £450, was discovered ; a few days ago iv tho Boss Borough, within a chain of the Boss Golrt- - fields claim. Two men, named Sharp j and Scott, wore working a small ) piece of abandoned ground, and found j it near Donnelly's Creek, iwhcro they j picked up a couple of small nuggets. • They were encouraged to continue 1 operations, when they came on the ' large lump, which is about the size ] of a white stono turnip, containing j a little quartz. The nugget was j bought to-day, and it is proposed to j name it after the Minister for "Mines.
