LORD ROSEBERY AND THE EMPIRE'S PRESS.

Lord Rosebery, -who practically opened the recent Imperial Press Conference by his famcus speech of welcome at the inaugural banquet at Shepherd's Bush, has given further token of his imerest in the event. To the permanent record of Conference proceedings prepared by Mr'T. H. Hardman, Lord Kosebery has contributed a striking preface, which constitutes not only an appreciation of the Conference, but eloquently enforces its racial significance and the high Imperial aspirations which it inspires. "A Parliament of : the Press," as the book is entitled, will be published by Messrs Horace Marshall and Son, Temple House, Temple-avenue, E.C.,- who have undertaken the work with a generous interest in the object in view. While it will be sold at 2s 6d, the volume will be illustrated and turned out on the lines of a book at three times that price ; and the contents being ot both immediate and historical value, it should reach the hands of British ci : li 7 ,-.is nil over the world.
