POSTAL OFFICERS IN TROUBLE.
CHARGES OF EMBEZZLEMENT. [United Press Association.] At the Magistrate's Court to-day, Alfred Charles Norris, late postmaster at Whakatane, pleaded guilty to a char charge of- embezzlement. James Simpkins, a messenger in the same post offlce, also pleaded guilty of embezzling. Both were remanded to the Supreme (Jour* for sentence. Bail was allowed in each case.
