Tries for New South Wales were obtained by Rosenfeldt (<?) I whereof two were converted and Fr&w.. ley and Colin one each. " ■' The weather was fine, and the attendance numbered 18,000. The game was fast and vigorous throughout. The New Zealanders apparently not being attheir best form after the voyage, did no* get fairly going till well into the seconc Ealf, But gave promise that when thej have played together a little more the} will give a much better account of them pelves. New South Wales were faster, and showed better combination, 'and was su perior in the open work, but tne visitors were better in the ruck. The first half ended. New South Wales 15 ; NewZealand 3 ; Jack Spencer securing an unconverted try. In the second half the New Zealand crs put in some splendid work, and al one time had 16 to their credit agains' New South Wales' 13. Tries were ob tamed by Barber (2), Lile, and Rowe. whereof Houghton converted thre?.
