Emerson versus the Rangi gltata Koad Board, in which plaintiff claimed £20 for damages sustained in r trap accident, owing to a horse shying ■ at a fallen signboard which was lyng 'r j one of the roads under the Board's jurisdiction. The Magistrate said he had come to the conclusion that the defendant Board was liable, and he would allow £7 6s 6d damages. Leave to ap- ' peal was granted, the case being of im j portance to local bodies.
