CORRESPONDENCE.

A NUISANCE. TO THE EDITOB. Sir, — Anyone passing down Colling-wood-st North cannot pass where the men j are working at the drainage works with- , out hearing abominable language, and : other objectionable styles. Fortunately, , it appears to emanate from one voice. It would be much worse if all hands did the same— women and children passing i do not appear to act as a check. It is a wonder the residents of the locality have not complained to the proper authorities ] against such conduct in a public street. I think that if the City Council could compel the use of a mouth wash of sheep dip in such cases, one dose would have the desired effect. I am, etc., PASSERBY.
