BULBS.

1. Definition of v hack. — Hack meaus a liorse that haa not at time of nomination won a race of a value of 100 soys., or of the collective value ol 250 soys., hucc lst August, 1899. 2. All protests must bo accompanied by a deposit of £2 (with the exception of trots, when the deposit must be £5), -A'hhih shall be forfeited should the Stowards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. 3. All nominations eloso at the Secretary office, Nelson, on Friday, 12th March, at 9 p.m. 4. Nominations must be made in writing, addressed "Secretary Joekoy Club, Nelson"; or, if sent by telegraph must hs confirmed by letter first mail afterwards, and to bo accompanied by the necessary fees; also name, age, colour, sex, and pedigree of I the horse, and colours to be worn by rider or driver. Any owner neglecting to furnish thia information at timo of nomination will be fined £5. 5. The flat races will be run under tho rules of the New Zealand Rules of Racing. Tho Trotting events will bo under the Rules of the New Zealand Trotting Association. 6. The winner of any race, after the declaration of weights, may bo rchandicapped. 7. Rule IG3, Rules of Trotting.— By the entry of, or endeavouring to enter a horso, every person having, or subsequently acquiring any interest in such horso, shall be deemed to accept all the conditions and restrictions imposed or implied by these rules, and to bo barred from questioning the action or conduct of the club or any other body holding a sports meeting, or if any official of the club or such other body iv respect of such horse or any person connected therewith, otherwise than in provided for in Part XXX. 8. The names of the trainer and ownei 1 , or owners, must be included in all acceptanco forms when acceptances arc scut in, in default of which the owner or trainer may be fined a Sum not exceeding £o, or disqualified. 9.
