A NEGRO BURNED TO DEATH.
NAPIER, Sunday
A negio named Martin Pellot, employed at cook on Mr J. D. Ormond's Karamu station, was so badly burnt through the place iv which lie slept catching fire on Saturday night, that he died whilst being taken to Hastings. The building was not much damaged. It is supposed that Pellot accidentally set fire to the place on retiring.
