STOKE BOAD BOARD.
The usual monthly meeting of the Stoke Road Board was held on Saturday last. Present—Messrs W. Coleman (Chairman), T. B. Chisnall, John Best, J. E. Bartlett, Ed. Chisuall, and H. 0. Jacka. The nrnutes of the previous meeting w^etfe read and oontiwmed, a"nd the overseer's report was adopted. The overseer (Mr J. Glen), in his report, stated: —Some slips on Rocks Road (Aniseed Valley) which were dangerous to traffic have been removed, and the material used for filling in ruts where necessary. Rubbish carried on W. Bell's road by high tides had been removed. Mr Coleman interviewed the Chajrman of tbe Waimea County Council re bridge leading on to Malcolm's Road, and it was arranged that the Board should renew the bridge and charge half tlie cost of the timber to the Waimea County Council. It was resolved, with regard to the bridge en Malcolm's Road, to ask the Council to defray half the co^t of the whole work. A letter was received from.Hutson md Company re pipes.
