(The Esueh barrage on the Nile j has been erected on the reeommenda- ! tion of Lord Cromer, at an estimated cost of £1,000,000, by the Messrs Aird. The work was commenced in December The Esueh barrage is specially intended to "benefit the province of Keneh.)
