The Grand Jury at the Supreme Court to-day found no bill in the case of Ro- j bert Charles Collins, who was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a man named Ferguson. It was alleged that on a Saturday night in December Collins struck Ferguson a blow, irom the effects of which he died. Collins said that Ferguson was making a disturbance, and he merely pushed him, and that Ferguson was standing on the edge of the footpath and was not sober when he fell. _ , Thursday. George Kenneth Murfitt was found guilty on one charge of forgery at Napier, and not guilty on another. He : was also convicted of obtaining money by means of a forged endorsement: He was remauded till Monday for sentence. A young-looking woman named May Tanner was charged with breaking into a ho.use in Wellington and stealing cutlery and other articles. Edward Jno Searle, well known as formerly lessee of Searie's Hotel, now the I Hotel Cecil, in Wellington, and latterly as a restaurant proprietor, was found guilty of forging the name of T. Gilbert (his brother-in-lawi to a cheque' for £7. Searle said that Gilbert, on three occasions, had assisted him financially and had said that Searle could draw on him if necessity arose, and that was why he drew the cheque. Searle was remanded till to-morrow for sentence. '
