TARANAKI ASSIZES.
[United Phess Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. The Supreme Court sessions opened this morning before Mr Justice Denniston, who congratulated the district upon its remarkable freedom from serious crime. There are only two criminal cases, neither of a serious nature. Lewis Morrell, aged 16, was convicted and discharged on a charge of forgery at Eltham.
