OVERGROWING HEDGES.

To tho Editor. Sir, —Complaints have been made for years to the Council about heJga-i being allowed to grow over the footpaths in tho Wood. At last they have sent out notice to have them cut back to the boundary; but I find that ereat pressure is being brought to try and get this notice withdrawn. Now, Sir, those hedges have been encroaching moro and more every voar, and now some of them aro quito fnur feet on the footpath, and if something is not done soon wo shall have no footpath at all. I would most earnestly and respectfully beg Councillors to insist on these hedges being cut back to the boundary. I would also appeal to Councillors to visit Cambria-street and sco for themselves. If these hedges wire cut now they would be quite green again in a few weeks. I am, etc., EATEPAYER.
