BOY BURGLARS AT AUCKLAND.
[United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Five boys, of ages ranging from 10 years to 15, pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to a round of burglaries, the youngsters having entered 15 premises and stolen a number of small articles and a quantity of jewellery. The last exploit was on Sunday, when they entered a jeweller's shop and stole jewellery valued at £50, bringing the total depredations to £110. Most of the articles were recovered when the youthful gang were arrested, but a bag of opals, which the boy to whom they were allotted threw away as valueless, is missing. Chief-Detective Marsack stated that the boys roamed the streets day and night, and were quite beyond parental control. All were committed to the Buruham Industrial School.
