It rs notified that entries for all j | classes in connection with the Nelson I | Horticultural Society's Autumn Show 1 close at 9.30 p.m. on Tuesday next. Owing to the holiday entries for the table . decoration cannot close at tho j "] time originally fixed, and may now bo. i J made up to Tuesday. Mr J. E. Houn- v sell will receive entries at his shop, Traf algar-street, Tip to 6 p.m. on Tues- * day, and from 7to 9.30 p.m. they may n be made' at the Drill Shed, where the Show will be held on Wednesday and r Thursday, 22nd and 23rd April. A I number of special prizes have been offered, particulars of which will be . found advertised. As this will be , the first Autumn Show held for about j 10 years, the event is being looked forward to. A very fine display of chrysanthemums is anticipated, and - the fruit section promises to eclipse anything ever held here. Inquiries r for -schedules have been received from ( many parts of the district, and this is taken as an indication that many fruitgrowers intend forwarding exhibits. Messrs Kirkpatrick & Co. will make a display of their manufac- ' tures, and it is the intention of the ' firm to go to considerable trouble in showing a trophy that will do credit ( to the district. j
