CORRESPONDENCE.

NELSON MOTOR f.:vRVICE To the Edit**. Sir, — Please allow mo space in vour columns to reply to "Port's' letter in Saturday's paper. In the first place, it is ridiculous for "Port" to say that tho residents at •he Pm-t ar p neglected. The Port timetab!?. ;, s sanctioned by tho Council, and .t.-vertised bv us. is always '■:i'pt. anti kept to time. If any one >ii£ht tr ecmplain it is tho Col'wge Hill residents, who, I am sorry tc s-iv, have at different times been denrived of the 'bus, and why? Simply to allow the Port timetablo'to bo kept when one or other of our conveyances has been temporarily disabled. Secondly, wo have no advertised timo-table for Friday night, and even our Saturday night time -table is optional. Thirdly, wo w?r- never asked to sign the petition iu favour of the Saturday, closing or the one in favour of Wednesday. W>, -were not even asked for our opinwn on the matter. We are not shopkeepers; but still we are very much interested, seeing that, our bnsiness is affect ed as much as any other. N O -v, Sir, since there has been, and is still, 60' much fuss and noise over the whole thing, we are quite willing to wait. :md see what is really goinj; to be done, and we will run our 'bus pceordingly. "Port"' lam afraid, is one of those people who are always ready to make a fuss about nothing, and expect as much attention for the meagre 3d (or 2d if ho has a season ticket) ns he would receive from a cabman, -whose fare is a shilling, forgetting that it costs a good deal more to run a motjr 'bus than it does a cab. I am, etc., MARK W. GRACE. For Nelson Motor Servile. March 23rd. t
