THE DROUGHT IN TARANAKI.
SHRINKAGE IN THE MILK YIELD. [Uni-isd Press Association.] ELTHAM, Tuesday. As an indication of the effect of the continued drought on the milk "yield, the Eltham Dairy Company is making 30 cases less daily .than at the corresponding period last year. To date the Company his made 450 tons, or 40 tons less than up to January-February last year. The long spell of dry weather is said to be a record for the district.
