THE TROTTING RACES.
The Nelson Trotting Club .will hold its annual race meeting at Bichmond .""ark to-morrow, and the . indications ■rs that the meeting will be .the most successful yet -held by the Club. The acceptances are eminently Batisfafctory, and large field should be the order of the day. The Mayor has requested citizens to observe a public holiday from noon to-morrow. A special railway time-table has been arranged for race day, trains being timed to leave Nelson and Bichmond at convenient times. The Nelson Rugby Union are holding a gymkhana and open-air concert in aid of their funds on Wednesday, 19th inst., and they should "prove attractive.* '
