Despite the vote of the Trades Union Coneress, owing to attempts by Clark's Paisley cotton mills strikers to intimidate the Ferguslie workers, Coats have closed the Ferguslie mills until protection is available, but all hands will be paid. Twelve thousand hands are idle.
