FEARS FOR HER SAFETY. [United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The barque Empreza, owned by Messrs J. J. Craig, Ltd. of Auck'and, is missing, and some anxiety is being felt regarding the vessel and her crew. The barque, under the command of Captain Goertz (late mate of the Hands Isle), sailed from Auckland on Aug. 19th, and called in at Whangarei, where she loaded 320 tons of coal for Kaipara. The barque sailed from Whangarei on September 6th, and was sighted off Mongonui on September / t!i by Captain Mathieson, of the barque Alebaran, which was bound from Newcastle to Auckland. On September 19th the lightkeeper at Cape Maria Van Diemen reported that the Empreza passed south at 1 p.m. on that date. No tidings have since been received of the vessel.
