NEW INDUSTRIES AT TIMARU.
A BUSINESS PROJECT. [Px;;?d Press Association.] TIMARU, Monday. The South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce is endeavouring to establish new industries. Information is being collected as to the probable cost of establishing and maintaining the following :—Brick and pottery works, hosiery, soap and candles, sauce and pickles tannery and fellmongery, biscuit factory, iron and brass foundry, wholesale stationery, paper bags, etc. It is believed that all these can be profitably carried out here, and that their initiation will greatly aid the advancement of the district.
