The following promotions and changes in the staff of the Post and Telegraph Department are announced by the Post-master-General :—H. Kissell, accountant, Chief Post Office, Wellington, to be Assistant Inspector of the Post Office at Christchurch ; \V. Beswick, record clerk, to be assistant at Wellington, vice H.. Kissel j H. D. Grocott, relieving otficer at" Wellington, to be record, clerk ; ) J. B. Jordan to be relieving officer at Wellington, vice H. D. Grocott; J. E. Broadfoot, Auckland 1 , to be assistant record clerk at Wellington; T. Ward, principal clerk telegraph division, to be postmaster at Te Ara; vice T. Kirker, transferred * to -.Lichfield-street, ChrUtchurch; T. W. Furby to be assistant staff clerk at Wellington; W. A Tanner to be property clerk at the Dead Letter Office, Wellington.
