RESOLUTION BY A SYNOD. [United Peess Association.] NAPIER, Tuesday. The Anglican Synod last night discussed tohungaism and resolved, "That this Synod views with satisfaction the i recent action of the Government in the direction of the suppression of tohungaism, and trusts that it may be possible for the Church to take more aggressive ' action among tribes specially affected by this evil. One lay member declared that tohungaism was a. religious movement, and should not be interfered with by the Government. Hua was a reformer, and should be won over and ' used as a Christian teacher.
