At a meeting of the Harbour Board to-day Mr Bullock tabled a letter showing that a meeting of shipping company representatives had recommended that "a reward of £100 be paid for the detection and conviction of anyone pillaging or broaching cargo, payment to be divided between the Harbour Board and the shipping companies. The Board decided to lend assistance in the matter.
