35 PERSONS KILLED AND SEVER- ' AL INJURED. MARVELLOUS ESCAPE OF CHILDREN. lOniteb Pbbss' Associ Alias.— OopiBIOHT.} NEW YORK, Sunday. A train with 800 excursionists on the Pere Parquette railway, near Salem, Michigan, dashed into a freight train coming from the opposite direction. Six out of the eleven cars were destroyed, and 36 passengers killed, while scores were injured, many critically. About 150 children were among the excursionists, but only a faw were severely hurt. The victims were chiefly men.
