AN ERROR AS TO POSITION. j OFFICERS AND MEN COMMENDED j WELLINGTON, Saturday. \ The Marine Court which inquired into j the wreck of the barque Woollhara at , Terawhiti gave its decision to-day. The j Court's findings wexe as follows :— 1. The casuality was not caused or I contributed to by negligent navigation | o'- by any other negligence, carelessness, ; or default on the part of any person or . persons on the ship. i 2. The cause of the casualty was an error of judgment on the part of tho master as to the position of the ship when the wind shifted at or about 10.30 p.m. The Court considered that the officers and members of th.;t crew did all that was possible after lhe vessel struck. It mentioned with commendation the action of tho second mate, Mr Win. Gough, and also the action of Walter Fenton, ordinary wman, and Seaman Konig.
