Norman, representing Hsrr Benno Scherek, has arrived in Nelson to arrange for one recital by Madame Tep?sa Carrsno, the celebrated pianist, >yho has created such a stir in Australia. Madame Carreno is touring New Zealand from ihe South, and her opening concert in Dunedin last week is described as having been a sensational success. The papers say that the distinguished pianist has evidently the faculty of immediately gaining the complete sympathy of an audience. Her magnetising personality is felt directly she sets her foot on the platform, and ab soon as she commences playing her hearers are spell-bound. "Critics may admire and praise her technique," says the Sydney "Daily Telegraph," "but tho most convincing thing about Carreno's personality is that she attracts the non-musical as well as the most educated students of the piano.
