THE MAIL SERVICES.
In connection with the oceaa mail services Mr Aitken is asking the Post-master-General whether he intends t< take steps to get the Union Sto:ynshir Company to connect their steamers at Sydney for Wellingon to suit the arrival of the mails conr'ng via Suez Canal and so save the time now invariably lost by the mails having to remain at Sydney for days awaiting an opportunity of despatch; also whether he cannot arrange for a weekly mail leaving Wellington on each Friday instead of fortnightly as at present.
