YOUR START IN LIFE.
You know how all important the start in a race is. As a rule it has much to do with the result. Well, the start in life is equally important. So be careful how you start. Too many make a hurried, ill-judged commencement. Often it is the fault of the parents. If you find or think that you have started wrong go back and start over again. Far better to do that than to pursue a wrong course without any chance of a prize — not even a consolation prize — at the end of it. But don't change more than once. Some men never finish because they are always beginning. That is too stupid for words. Be very careful how you choose, and then stick to your second choice for all you are worth. Remember that a poor claim steadily worked may be much better and more profitable than a good one half developed. If you make too many starts you are not likely to make anything worth having. i , , m
