Trouble seems to be springing up all around the management as the Exhibition is drawing to a close, 6aya the Christchnrch "Press," The latest squabble is in connection with the medals that will be distributed to prizewinners in the Home Industries Section, • Mr Minson, the chairman, has resigned absolutely, and all the other members of the committee threaten to resign if complaints they make are not attended to. It has been announced in the schedule and in other publications that medals will be given in this section. The committee, being guided by the experience gained at the Canterbury Jubilee Exhibition, felt that the approximate prices of the medals would be 28s for the gold ones, 17s for the silver ones and about 6s for the bronze ones. Mr Munro has accepted a tender for sup- , plying the medals at much lower prices ' It is stated that the gold medals will cost only 13s 6d and the others will be cheap in proportion. Mr Minson was promised that the matter would not be decided until it had gone before the committee, but the committee seems to haye been completely ignored. The Acting-Premier and Mr Fowlds were seen by the committee, which threatened to resign in a body if the order for supply of the medals was not cancelled. nrA T v 6 a B ita t'°n is that tho order has been suspended.
