TO-DAY'S PROCEDINGS.

At the sitting of the Magistrate's Court this morning, Edgar King was fined ss, with 7s costs, for riding a bicycle on the footpath in St. Vin-cent-street. The offence was admitted, the defendant explaining that a horse he was taking along the street had turned a corned sharply, this being the reason for him going on to the footpath. The .Magistrate said the defendant could have gone round the corner, and declined to accept the excuse.
