THE GREAT BARRIER FATALITY. DARGAVILLE, Sunday. Further details of the Great Barrier fatality are to the effect that the camp of the Austrians, who were engaged in Riim-digging, was pitched on the bank of the creek on an island between Blind Bay and Whakapara. The creek rose very rapidly as the result of the downpour on Wednesday and Thursday. The fresh undermined the camp which, without any warning, was engnlphed in the swollen torrent. Four Austrians were in the camp at the time, and all were precipitated into the stream. Three were carried away, and it is feared that they were drowned. diligent search for his companions, but without success. He then went to Blind Bay, where he saw Constable Johnson, who organised a search party in the hopo of finding some of the unfortunate men still alive
