Publications received.— Messrs J. E. Hounsell and Co. forward "Pears' Annual, handsomely illustrated, and containing most readable matter, and in addition three of the- finest pictures in colours for framing vet issued with Christmas annuals.— Mr Porter Harris (Norwich Union Fire Insurance Company) sends the useful moveable New Year calendar, blotting pad, etc., issned by the company,— Mr Bamford (Standard Insurance Company) sends his company's calendar for 1907, with a month in an opening.— A copy of tho "Canterbury Times" Christmas niunber well illustrated with Maori and other subjects, and with plenty of appropriate reading matter, has been received from Messrs J. It includes three valuable modern fashion patterns, and recipes of southern Christmas delicacies by "Belinda," which should prove useful at this season. — The Post and Telegraph Department officers, Wellington, send a card of Christmas greetings, and we heartily reciprocate the good wishes therein contained.
