NELSON RIFLES.
On Tuesday last the Nelson Rifles continued their trophy shooting in very unfavourable weather. The strong wind blowing during the shooting on both riiornirig and everting brought the scores down considerably. lil the first-ciass Larice-dorpbrai Carter secured a leg-iii for Mr E. Smalibbne~'s trophy, and in the second-class Private Hunter a leg-in for Mr F. Harford's trophy. The ranges were 300 and 500 }'ards, seven shots at each. The folowing are the scores : —
