NELSON COLLEGE ANNUAL SPORTS.

The annual sports flxtere in connection with Nelson. College r.e^<jr aiis to draw an interests crowd of tho parents and friends of the competitors, in addition to the gwieral public, and the event on Saturday was no exception to the rule The sports were held in tne Botanic .Reserve, and some Keen contests, for pride, of place were witnessed amon K the youthful athletes. The races were got off in good time, the majority of whicn brought out large numbers ot competitors. The 'Senior Cup wort by J. G. Skoet (last years winner; ;. and the Junior Cup fell to Usher. Afternoon tea was dispensed and greatly enjoyed, and the Garrison Band played selections throughout 'the afternoon.
