THE CONCLUSION OP THE SESSION. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. The Presbyterian Assembly conclud- , ed. its session this evening. On the question of tenure of office, it was re- ' solved to appoint a committee to put itself into communication with the churches of older lands in order to gather full information and formulate a report. The Sustentation Fund Com- - mittee report was adopted, gratification , being expressed that the dividend for the year is the highest for 13 years, Mr Woods' methods in seeking to ad- ■ vance the movement being cordially ap- , proved. The report on the amalgamation of funds was received, and con- - sideration postponed, the Church Ext tension Committee in the North Island being instructed to divide the reeeiv- | ing congregations into Church exten- : sicn charges and those receiving supplements. The next meeting was fixed for November 5, in Wellington.
