A magnificent five-year-old roan bullock was landed at Nelson to-day, consigned to Messrs Fairey Bros. The *_ beast, as fine a one as has ever been j_ brought here, was grown by Mr Parkes,- --| of Kaponga, Taranaki, and is estimated j_ to weigh 16001bs. The animal will be '& on view at the forthcoming show at | Richmond, having been entered in tho rj fat beast classes. |j On Saturday next, at 11 a.m., Mr a Wm. Lock will sell at the photographic M studios, Hardy-street, the furniture | and effects belonging to Mr Markland ; |q and Saturday week, 24th, he will sell I the tools and plant belonging to Mr S. B. Johnson. Messrs Rout and Sons report the sale of one acre of land, fronting Cambria-street, the Wood, from the executors in the estate of George Fairhall, deceased, to a city buyer.
