WANGANUI SHOW.
. A SUCCESSFUL OPENING. (United Press Association.) WANGANUI, Wednesday. Though rain fell during the night, the weather broke fine for the opening day of the Wanganui Show. Passing flouds and a fresh breeze is pleasantly tempering the sun's heat. Splendid entries have been received. Every class of horses is very good. Thoroughbreds, thoneh not numerous, are of erand quality. There is a fine lot of cattle, especially fat classes, while the show of sheep is really magnificent. The Corriedale sheep, specially adaptable to rough country, have attracted much attention, as they are excellent both in regard to wool and mutton. There are a large number of entries and strong competition in the dog classes, and the judges remarked that they are the finest lot ever seen.
