Q l Afi'i I-.RLY MEETING. Tho meeting of Ihe "Motneka Licensing Cojnmitteo was atlended by Mr H. Eyre Kenny, S.M. (chairman) and Messrs Fr; nklyn, Macmahon aji.l Riley. Mr B. T. Baitcni was absent owing to illness. The adjourned applications for re newals of the Post Office an! Motueka Hotels wore considered. The rebuilding plans were produced in both instances and approved subject to the following conditions : — lst, No important deviation Ui be tnade' without consent of tho committee ; 2nd, contracts and specifications to be signed, and works to be completed ' in accordance therewith with the least ■ possible delay ; 3rd, bar to be absolutely I Bipartite ffom private entrance, and no communication from private hall with | bar by door, window or trap-door ; 4th, sanitary arrangements to be up-to-date ; sth, all window's to be hung with sash j weight, to open freely ton and bottom ; 6th, bathrooms to have not and cold water laid on. The applications were further adjourned till the Juno meeting. The Police requested that the license of the Terminus Hotol, Motupiko, be cancelled as the hotel had k&cjn conducted in an improper ajanner.
